Positions are also available in the Hospitality and Catering industry in the U.K . Staff for hotels, ranging from 2, 3 to 5 Star, small and large hotels and restaurants all over England, Ireland and some in Wales. We offer you a job, room, meals, health insurance, paid holidays, and a salary.

Hotels are seeking staff for the following positions:

Management: Various positions

Front of the House: Receptionist, Reservations, Shift Leaders, Head Receptionist

Food and Beverage: Waiting Staff, Bar Staff, Restaurant Supervisors

Chefs: Trainee Chefs, Commis Chefs, Chef de Partie, Sous Chefs, Head Chefs, Pastry Chefs

Conference & Banqueting: C&B Porters, Supervisors, C&B coordinators, Banqueting Staff

Housekeeping: Duty Housekeepers, Assistant Housekeepers, Chambermaids

Please read our General Information in which we will give you more details about particular positions and how much you can expect to earn. Staff, are placed in hotels all year round but particularly busy months are September and May. Most hotels prefer staff to stay for a minimum of 6-12 months. Maximum as long as you want.
 

General Information

Do I Need a Work Permit?

If you are coming from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden you do not need a work permit. If you are Canadian, Australian, or New Zealand National you can apply also.

Do I Need to Be Qualified?

For some positions you need to be, but or some positions you will be given training.
 

Where am I Going to Live?

Many of our positions provide accommodation and board, so you will live in the hotel or somewhere near. You will know all about it as soon as we offer you a job. There are also many LIVE OUT positions. You will have more choice of jobs if you are prepared to find accommodation for yourself.

Do I Need to Pay Anything for the Accommodations and Food?

It depends from hotel to hotel. Some hotels do not charge anything but they will pay you less and some hotels will make a small charge which is not more than 60 British pounds per week. You will know if you will be charged when the Job Offer is made. Live in accommodations can be provided.

Do I Need to Pay My Own Traveling to Britain?

Yes. Some Employers will meet you at your point of arrival or we will give you detailed instructions how to find the place of your employment or some other convenient point where you can be collected.

How Much Can I Earn Working In the Hotel or Restaurant?

Your salary will depend on the job you are offered. Here is a guide to what jobs are on offer and approximately what you can expect to earn:

Position in British Pounds
Chambermaids 6500-8500 per annum
Porters 6500-10000 per annum
Food and Beverage Staff 8000-14000 per annum
Front of the House 9500-13000 per annum
Chefs from 11000 per annum
(This can of course vary from Employer to Employer and from Area to Area.)

What About My Holidays?

It depends from employer to employer how much holiday you can take and it also depends on your position in the company. The number of days holiday per year will be stated in the Job Offer.

Do I Need to Work Shifts?

It depends on your position, but most positions in the Hotel Industry require shift-work.

Do I Have Medical Treatment While Working in Britain?

Yes. You should register yourself with a local doctor. Treatment is normally provided under National Health Service, except for small charge for prescription. You will need to present your passport or National Insurance Number.

What if I Have to Go Home Early?

You have to let us know as soon as possible. You have to give your Employer at least 2 weeks notice or time which was stated in your contract.

What Do I Have to Do to Apply?

To apply you must have:

- Fill in a REGISTRATION FORM which is enclosed
- Current CV/ Resume
- Two reference letters or references with names addresses and phone numbers of your references
- One passport size photo
- Medical Certificate stating you are in good health
- Processing fees - please contact us

Upon receipt of the above documents and fee, the applicant's file can be
referred to potential employers across England.
Once an Employer is interested in you, we will contact you with the job description from the particular company. If you are interested you will be put in touch with potential employer. You have the choice to accept or decline any position you wish. If you are both in agreement you will be sent a Job Offer in writing. We' will only need you to confirm your date and place of arrival. PLEASE do not make any travel arrangements before you receive a Job Offer!
